Client/Project Goals & Rationale Points

  • There were 2 goals in this project, one targeting the needs of the tenants & the other for client, the building owner.
  • The tenants in the building had regularly requested some sort of solution to make the comfort levels better in their offices, especially about the air conditioning system not keeping up with the outside heat.
  • While the ownership wanted to satisfy the tenants, their goal was to preserve the building marketability it enjoyed from its appealing look from the outside.

Project Challenges

  • The project was challenged with so many tenants with different levels of needs based upon their business type & location in the building. The technology needed to be just the right performance capacities.
  • The technology needed to perform but also not give too much reflection & be too shiny. If so, it would take away the intended look of the building.
  • The installation process needed to be as compatible as possible with the business operations of all the tenants.

Strategic Objectives

  • To approach both sides of the project, the building management & the tenants, with several samples of Xpel films. This would give both groups a feeling of participating in the decisions on the film selections.
  • To keep both sides well informed of the progress of both the preferences of the other in the film selection. Also, once the film was agreed to by both sides, to execute regular updates on installation status as the project progressed.

Project Finish & Client’s Perspective

  • All feedback from the tenants to the building management showed they were completely satisfied with the new technologies & the positive impact in their work environments. They were much more comfortable both in temperature as well as glare reduction during working hours.
  • The owners/management were also very happy with the results, both in the reactions of the tenants as well as the aesthetics of the building with the new film technology on it.
